Manoj Ranabhat serves as the elected Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 2 in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan, representing the Nepali Congress party.

In the 2022 local elections, he secured his position by obtaining 1,249 votes, narrowly defeating his closest rival, Krishna KC of the CPN-UML, who garnered 1,225 votes. (Makalu Khabar)

Under his leadership, Ward No. 2 has achieved notable progress in various areas:

Revenue Generation: The ward’s revenue collection surpassed NPR 20 million in the current fiscal year, doubling the previous year’s figures.(E-Pardafas)

These initiatives contributed to Ward No. 2 achieving the highest score in Bharatpur Metropolitan City’s performance-based budget allocation system for the fiscal year 2081–82 BS (2024–25), resulting in an additional allocation of NPR 29,002,000. (E-Pardafas)
